H. Consent Agenda- All items on this agenda will be considered by a single motion with no discussion, unless requested otherwise by a board member. Consideration to approve charter holder amendment requests. 1. Choice Education and Development Corporation - Arizona Conservatory for Arts and Academics – Change in entity name of the Charter Holder2. Choice Education and Development Corporation - Learning Crossroads Basic Academy – Change in entity name of the Charter Holder3. Choice Education and Development Corporation - Sequoia Charter School – Change in entity name of the Charter Holder4. Choice Education and Development Corporation - Sequoia School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing – Change in entity name of the Charter Holder5. Choice Education and Development Corporation - Sequoia Village School – Change in entity name of the Charter Holder6. Kaizen Education Foundation dba Mission Heights Preparatory High School - USFRCS Exception I. Executive Session - Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3) the Board may vote to go into Executive Session, which will not be open to the public, for discussion or consultation for legal advice regarding the Board’s use of academic and other data for renewal decisions in accordance with A.R.S. § 15-183(I)(1). J. Charter Amendment Requests - Discussion and possible action on the charter amendment requests for an increase in enrollment cap for the following charter holders: Part 1 and Part 2 1. South Valley Academy, Inc.2. South Phoenix Academy, Inc. Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03(A)(3) and/or A.R.S. 38-431.03(A)(4), the Board may vote to go into Executive Session, which will not be open to the public, for discussion or consultation for legal advice regarding this matter and/or for discussion or consultation with the Board’s attorneys in order to consider its position and instruct its attorneys regarding the Board’s position in pending or contemplated litigation or in settlement discussions conducted in order to avoid or resolve litigation. K. Charter Renewal Application Reconsideration – Discussion and possible action on the following previously denied charter renewal applications: 1. The Phoenix School of Academic Excellence 2. Tucson Preparatory School L. Board Comments and Future Meeting Dates – The executive director, presiding officer or a member of the Board may present a brief summary of current events pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02(K) and may discuss future meeting dates and direct staff to place matters on a future agenda.
