NOTICE AND AGENDA A. Pledge of Allegiance B. Moment of Silence C. Roll Call D. Call to the Public – This is the time for the public to comment. Members of the Board may not discuss items that are not specifically identified on the agenda. Therefore, pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.01(H), action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter, responding to any criticism, or scheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date. Executive Director’s Report – Introduction to the agenda items—Discussion and possible action: Status of charters with previous and/or on-going board actions: Founding Fathers Academies, Inc., Visions Unlimited Academy, Inc. H. Consent Agenda- All items on this agenda will be considered by a single motion with no discussion, unless requested otherwise by a board member. Consideration to approve charter holder amendment requests for the following: 1. BASIS School, Inc. (07-84-03-000) - Procurement Laws and USFRCS Exception2. BASIS School, Inc. (10-87-37-000) - Procurement Laws and USFRCS Exception3. Empower College Prep- Procurement Laws and USFRCS Exception4. Kaizen Education Foundation dba Mission Heights Preparatory High School- Procurement Laws Exception5. Maryvale Preparatory Academy- USFRCS Exception6. North Phoenix Preparatory Academy- USFRCS Exception I. Charter Renewal Application – Discussion and possible action on the renewal application for Mountain Rose Academy, Inc. J. Transfer of Charter Contract – Discussion and possible action on the request to transfer the charter contract of Developing Innovations in Navajo Education, Inc. (DINE, Inc.) from the State Board of Education to the State Board for Charter Schools. K. Academic Performance Framework - Discussion and possible action on the adoption of the proposed Academic Performance Framework and Guidance Documents. Part 1 Part 2 Academic Performance presentation L. Charter Renewal Application Instructions Modifications – Discussion and possible action on updates to the renewal application instructions and related documents incorporating the Academic Performance Framework. M. Compliance Matters – Discussion and possible action. The Board will receive information to determine whether evidence exists that Excel Preparatory Academy, Inc. is in breach of one or more provisions of its charter contract, federal, state, or local laws, including but not limited to, failing to provide a program of instruction during FY 2013 and failing to remain current with the Arizona Corporation Commission. If the Board determines that a breach may have occurred the Board may issue a Notice of Intent to Revoke the Charter pursuant to A.R.S. 15-183(I). N. Board Comments and Future Meeting Dates – The executive director, presiding officer or a member of the Board may present a brief summary of current events pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02(K) and may discuss future meeting dates and direct staff to place matters on a future agenda. The Board will not discuss or take action on any current event summary. O. Adjournment
