On February 14, 2022, the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools approved the application and instructions for the 2022 cycle for schools opening in the 2023-2024 school year. The approved application instructions were posted to this page on March 2, 2022.

Applicant Workshops
Board staff will present virtual training for applicants during the application cycle. Training will focus on clarification of the instructions and process, and to identify common pitfalls for applicants.
Training dates are as follows:
- March 23, 2022 - New Charter Process Overview and Educational Plan
- March 24, 2022 - Operational and Business Plans
- March 30, 2022 -Academic Systems Plan and Instructional Analysis
The above listed sessions will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Additionally, a live Q&A Session will be held on Wednesday, April 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
